Simulator
The ShootingPartner simulator programs and operating guides have been incorporated into the contents of the ShootingPartner CD. This CD can be downloaded from the link below. You may also request a copy of the CD to be supplied by mail if you prefer.
The ShootingPartner simulators provide a realistic, PC based, video simulation of actual target system operation. The simulators allow anyone interested in purchasing a ShootingPartner target system to evaluate the operation of systems in the comfort of their own home or office. The simulators can also be used to train range personnel in the operation of the target systems.
Please note the following
simulator operating advice.
1. When we are using
a computer "mouse" many of us have gotten used to “double-clicking”
on a button on a computer screen. In contrast, the ShootingPartner
Control Unit is operated by making a single press on the control
buttons. We have programmed the Simulator to work like the real
control unit. Please use single clicks on the Simulator buttons
or you will experience unexpected results – such as turning
the unit on with the first click of the “On/Off” button and immediately turning it off again with the second
click!
2. If you find that
the target movements or time delays built into the Simulator
would not fit your needs, please remember that, in a real control
unit, we can custom program these characteristics to fit your
requirements.
3. This program is
written for computer simulation purposes only. Although it simulates
the operation of our control unit the program is written in
a different computer language entirely and it has not been tested
as safe to use with an actual moving target system. We take
no responsibility for injury to anyone who tries the idea.
